![]() ![]() This is a PSA worth noting (many aren't).Īgreed with the transports, but it is vital that the division leader actively announces this role at the start of the match and not just assume that the new random knows about and/or agrees with this principle. (Well, the CVs secondaries will shoot at you, *IF* you get into secondary range, which isn't really a smart thing to do.) The CV is just a floating pile of HP and XP, while the cruiser actually shoots back at you. Also, it's best to kill the cruiser before killing the CV. So it's annoying when someone in a Scharnhorst heads down there rather than helping to deal with the Missouri.Īlso, IMO, the CV and her DD and CL escort is usually best handled by 2 cruisers, IMO. One cruiser is usually enough to deal with the SW. What I do care about is whether there's some ship that headed there that doesn't need to be there. Personally, I don't really care if someone "steals" kills in the SW. This cost me my ship in one run this evening. If you let it get away, it sails in behind your team-mates and shoots them in the back. Annoyed the hell out of me.Īlso a warning: to the person who goes after the CV, it is VITAL that you kill the accompanying cruiser if at all possible. I had three separate people in two runs do this to me tonight. Please refrain at all other times as well. In division runs on this operation it is considered EXTREMELY BAD MANNERS to steal transport kills. It gives a special bonus achievement and a shipload of XP for a single ship to do a clean sweep. The ship that goes down to the southwest to kill the enemy transports and their destroyer escort is, by unwritten law, entitled to all of them. ![]()
